Experience
I have taught AP and IB Biology for three years, as well as Pre-AP, On-Level, and Special Ed high school biology. I decided to go back to school to become a nurse, but I still would love to help students learn about the living world! I have not only taken many of the courses covered in my bio, but I have taught them as well. One of my favorite parts of teaching was getting to work with a student one-on-one, allowing them to achieve to their full potential. I think it is not only important to understand the material, but also how to learn, take notes, and study effectively so that you can demonstrate your knowledge to the fullest extent.

Hobbies
On the weekends you can find me out on a hiking trail, enjoying the great outdoors and pestering my friends and family with "cool" facts about the plant, animal and other life we see. I love watching movies, TV, and bingeing on Netflix. Some of my favorites to watch are The West Wing, Doctor Who, and Parks and Recreation. I'm always reading at least one book (right now, along with my text books I'm reading The Last Policeman) but my all time favorites are The Hot Zone, Packing for Mars, and Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
