Appalachian State University graduate of 2013 with a GPA of 3.3. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Building Science/ Pre-Engineering and a double minor in Business and Town, City, and Regional Planning. I am currently attending Queens University of Charlotte to obtain another Bachelor's Degree in Biology/Pre-Med. My current GPA is 3.2.
Experience
At Appalachian State University, I tutored a multitude of students with various learning disabilities and styles. I tutored students in math courses such as algebra, geometry, and pre-calculus, science courses such as chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, microbiology, and statics/strengths of structures, and in basic physics courses. As I developed a friendship with the students, I learned how to better accommodate the students' needs. Not everyone learns the same, and in a large classroom setting, some students are left behind. I want to be a tutor because I had the privilege of learning from teachers who enjoyed their jobs and made learning fun. My passion is deeply routed in the sciences and mathematics, and I hope to implement my love of learning into my tutoring. SAT: 1660/1800
