Education

I have a Bachelor's of Social Work with courses in psychology, sociology finishing with a 3.7 from NC A&T State University in 2003. I have a North Carolina graduate certificate for K-6 Elementary Education finishing with a 3.7 from University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2013. I am currently taking online continued education courses as well.

Experience

I worked with Sylvan Tutoring 2008-2012 on various grade levels. I would like to assist students in reaching their academic goals. As a teacher I made at least 1.5 years of reading growth for students including special needs-EC, ESL, and with gifted students. Before becoming a teacher I was a long term substitute in middle school as well.

I enjoy baking, reading, public speaking, journaling, watching movies, researching, exercising, writing stories and blogs, working with my partner on our Youtube show and games especially trivia games but I enjoy most playing chess and going to cultural trips and events with my son and volunteering with at risk populations.
