Education
I was born in Mexico and raised in Texas. I majored in Education (general and special education) at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. It is a small private university that has an excellent Education department. I am currently a 2L at Charlotte School of Law. I eventually would like to be a law professor.
Experience
I have a true passion for teaching. Since I was in kindergarten, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. Throughout my life, I have always helped friends learn in school. When I went to college, it was a no brainer that I wanted to major in Education. I began observing and teaching my first year of college at field based placements. I also tutored a young lady with special needs for three years. In Texas, I am certified to teach early childhood education through 6th grade. I am certified to teach all level Special Education and I am a bilingual (Spanish) certified teacher. I taught 3rd grade bilingual students for two years. I currently tutor a six year old in learning Spanish once a week.
