I have tutored middle school students in Earth Science and Math since graduating from Appalachian State University. While there, I worked toward a Bachelor of Science in Biology. My focus was in Cell/Molecular Biology, but I also minored in Chemistry and Spanish. I have found success in preparing students for Science and Math components of standardized tests. Biology, Organic and Physical Chemistry, Microbiology, and Spanish are other subjects I can provide essential help with. As an educator, I believe one can reach their dreams and goals by getting a good education, which I communicate to every student that I teach or tutor. I've always genuinely enjoyed the learning process.My teaching experience also includes CPR/AED/First Aid instruction (Adult and Pediatric) as part of American Red Cross Carolina Piedmont Chapter certification programs. While doing so I instructed clients of different ages. I began tutoring during my junior year in college, assisting fellow college level students understand the concepts being taught in class. It might sound like I don't have much downtime. I do, however, enjoy soccer and find time to play the sport. Fly fishing is another passion, while I also like read scientific articles, books, or go hiking with my dogs.
