Experience
I earned my bachelor's degree at the University of West Georgia, and I am now attending Walden University where I am working toward my master's degree in Education with a focus on mathematics and reading. I currently teach elementary school, and I have also worked one-on-one with children in grades kindergarten through 3rd grade as a tutor. I teach and tutor a variety of subjects, but my favorites are phonics and math. I know that everyone has a different style of learning, and as a teacher, I am continuously altering my teaching style to make sure that every student is learning. I also like my students to have fun while learning, so I strive to bring a little fun into every lesson. Along with phonics and math, I can also tutor reading, writing, literature, grammar and mechanics, earth science, environmental science, geography, physical science, social studies, and several other classes. I also enjoy helping students prepare for tests and am happy to help ESL students. When not teaching or tutoring, I enjoy reading and listening to music. I also enjoy traveling when I get the opportunity.
