I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Appalachian State University in North Carolina. There, I minored in Cell and Molecular Biology. At App State, I act as a Special Instruction tutor. Privately, I tutor on my own, too. Those I have worked with have achieved success in areas where they were previously challenged. Subjects I have focused on include Chemistry, Biology, and Physiology. For eight years, I have mentored students in reading at an elementary school in Charlotte, NC. Currently, I am in medical school, and I utilized tutors throughout my time as a pre-med.The secret to my success as an instructor is that I am extremely knowledgeable in the areas in which I assist. I have gone above and beyond in my personal studies of these subjects. So, I am qualified to share the information with other people. I can explain concepts and material in much the same way that a professional can. My style involves showing students that the topics we discuss are relevant to their lives.
