I enjoy playing basketball with my friends at UNCC, I like to read books and continue learning everyday. Currently I have been interested in programming using the language, R. I love to help students and see that spark in their eyes when they finally understand a concept that they have been struggling with. Tutoring brings me great joy and is the perfect way for me to give back to the community using my gifts. The way I tutor is by first having the student attempt a problem alone to determine the specific area they are struggling with. Each student is different, and requires a tutoring session fine-tuned to their needs. Then, together we will work through the problem, while explaining how to get over whatever hurdle is preventing them from getting the right answer. I am a firm believer that anyone can learn subjects such as Calculus or Organic Chemistry, provided they are looking at the subjects from the correct perspectives.
