Pre-college and early college tutor I have peer tutored for over 7 years in subjects ranging from writing to mathematics to biology to programming. I am most proficient at teaching up to early college level biology and college level mathematics. I have also worked with elementary and middle school aged children through volunteer programs at the YMCA for several years so younger students are welcome as well! Hobbies
I am a biologist and researcher at heart though I have had extensive experience with mathematics. I absolutely love teaching others about the field of research and all that surrounds it, including the research process, literature review, statistical analysis, and scientific discourse. For the last two years of high school, I was enrolled at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM), an application-only public boarding school. This was an excellent experience to meet like-minded peers and be surrounded by top performing students and faculty. This school offered many positive and rigorous academic experiences that I would love to share with you! In my free time, I enjoy staying fit and playing music. I was the captain of my varsity swim team and an instructor of a weight training course at my high school. I have played instruments, namely piano, French horn, guitar, and ukulele, for over 9 years and don't intend to stop any time soon! (I hope to one day be able to play 100 instruments!)
